INTRODUCTION
The
opportunity to teach overseas is a rewarding and challenging experience.
Living in another country, experiencing a different culture and working with a
diverse range of people from all over the world can provide a high degree of both
personal and professional satisfaction.
Teacher Recruitment International (Aust) provides a teacher placement service
for International Schools in Asia, the Middle East, Europe and to a lesser extent
South America. |
TRI
currently work with over 200 International and private schools in SE Asia, Turkey,
Middle East and to a limited extent in Europe and South America.
A number of opportunities will arise in these schools leading up to the start
of the next international school academic year in August. |

International
Schools are high fee paying private schools which cater, predominantly, for the
children of expatriate families. All instruction is in English and most schools
are managed by an elected board. The schools are generally very well equipped
and seek the best teachers from other countries, including UK, USA, Canada, Australia
and New Zealand.
The
majority of schools we assist cater for students from 3-18 years, range in size
from 20 to 3,000 students and serve expatriate communities. Allinstruction is in English.
Most
schools operate on a Northern Hemisphere school calendar year; hence the majority
of teacher selections occur between November and June with appointments beginning
August/September. There are very few schools which operate on an Aust/NZ school
year and seek teachers to begin in January. Situations do arise (increase in enrolments,
unexpected vacancies) when schools require placements in January and at other
times of the year.
International
schools, like all schools, require teachers who are enthusiastic, flexible in
their approach to teaching, use current methodology and have a commitment to excellence.
For this reason they will only employ teachers who meet their stringent selection
criteria.
